DRPT International Inc. is a non-profit organization the aims of which include promoting research and development in the modern and future generation, transmission and utilization of power and energy through organization of international conferences, workshops, and symposia, and encouragement of research through the provision of scholarships or fellowships to postgraduate students and post doctoral fellows.
DRPT organized symposia, seminars, workshops in a number of locations, e.g., Sydney, Australia. In addition, DRPT has run the following conferences:
The First DRPT International Conference took place in London, U.K. 2000
The Second DRPT International Conference took place in Hong Kong, SAR, 2004
The Third DRPT International Conference took place in Nanjing China in 2008
The Fourth DRPT International Conference took place in Weihai, China in 2011
The Fifth DRPT International Conference took place in Changsha, China in 2015
The governance structure of DRPT International Incorporated, a not-for-profit organization registered in Australia, consists of a Governing Committee, and ordinary members. The Governing Committee consists of the following office bearers:

DRPT (Deregulation and Restructuring and Power Technologies) had its beginning dated back to 1998, when through an Australian Research Council funding, it organized its workshop on issues related to deregulation of power supplies in Western Australia. This workshop was attended by a number of international experts on deregulation of power supplies, and was a great success. Further to the great success, the first conference was organized in London in 2000, and then the second, the third, the fourth and the fifth, international conferences, all of them on themes of deregulated power supplies, its opportunities and challenges. Moreover, a series of DRPT international conferences, symposia, workshops, were organized in Nanjing, Weihai, China, Hong Kong SAR, and Sydney Australia.
